U.N.R.L. Rules & Regulations

These rules are here to ensure the fairest racing possible, anyone who goes against them will suffer the consequences of serving the penalties stated below.

Rules an Regulations part 1:


Lobby Rule

- Before you're invited to the session, make sure you have your Racing Setup has already been saved. Having to leave the lobby and joining back will result in losing your Qualifying Position and you will have to start from the back of the grid in whatever order you join back in.- Not only having your Racing Setup ready before the race, but also make sure to have your Damage Assist set to Cosmetic before entering the Race Lobby because it might not register if changed afterwards.


Clutch Rule

- Clutch has been restricted to not be used for races as it allows quicker gear changes than normal Sequential Gearboxes, thus giving a higher acceleration and a higher top speed. Running Clutch allows Drivers to run a higher Downforce and not be penalised down the straights. In result of running Clutch for further races, any evidence found of a Driver using it will result in no points earned for the race they were found using it in. See You on the track ! (Also in the real world, Sequential Gearbox's are faster so we're simulating real life as close as possible).      


Pitstops

- Quickstops are what will be increased or decreased depending on the track we are attending, please note that you will have to pit at some points as you will run out of fuel if you don't. <strong>Assist Notice</strong>- Just a quick notice for all participants, we're forcing off Stability Control and Traction Control, to allow these specific assist users to experience the car on a harder level as these setups were built with the purest vision of racing, seeing as Stability & Traction does what its name intends it makes the cars easy to access. We're keeping the racing equal and fair to the max of our ability, however ABS will still be permitted. We'll see you on the track.    


Corner Cutting/ Extending Rule

- We will have a person appointed the role of reviewing race incidents such as 'corner cutting', our rule is simple your first two corner cuts & two Extensions = 4 warnings, after that is a point loss for every time you cut a corner or extend, after your warning has been given to you, you will be informed on whether you've stayed in the regulations after each race.

If for whatever reason we allow a certain extend or cut at a specific track all drivers will be informed by post here in the group, or if you as a driver are concerned and just want to be sure of where the track limits are you can post in the group and an admin will explain things.


Pit Lane Rule

- Pit lane limits must be realised and respected at all times. This means staying within the entry/exit pit lines until you've reached the start/end of pit road/white guidelines, then you can resume racing on the normal line. Anyone who ignores or directly disobey this rule will have a standard procedure of a 2-point deduction. Respect the limits of racing and have fun.  


Incidents

- Depending on the severity of the incident the admin team or the founder will decide what type of penalty is best suited to appropriately solve the situation, the person who is deemed to be at fault will recieve either a race ban, or a qualifying ban or the standard -5% power handicap if the incident has been repeated by the same driver or the driver involved has has multiple incidents with other drivers he may receive more than just one penalty.

As incidents do tend to happen when least expected, if the majority are unhappy with a start to a race or there is a mass wreck at the start we will initiate a restart, this rule however means we have a limited amount of restarts due to the time of the session being dragged out.

There are three restarts available for a normal race if there is a massive incident between lap 1-5, in edurance races we will only have two If there is any wrecks between lap 1-10 as they're longer need to start on time an be carried out with more efficiency.    


Blue Flag Rule

- Blue flag is the flag shown when you're being lapped, meaning you must avoid getting in the way of the leader/leading cars (i advise having the names over cars option selected so you can see the position they are in in their name tag)  failure to let the leading cars pass will result in a race ban.


One Lap Lead

- During a race, once a driver can lead a full lap, those driver's earn 1 point and counts towards the championships. However this does not mean every lap You lead, You will get a point. Once 1 lap lead, one point earned.

- Race time is to start at 2PM EST/7PM GMT, please be well ready before this time so we can get started with races efficiently.


Qualifying  

Quali will be a 20 minute timed session, compared laps will be on and this will determine the grid position, remember if you have a lap that is faster than the car ahead but it is dirty/invalidated it will put you at the lowest place out of all members in the lobby, unless they have a slower dirtied lap than you.


Lag/Sudden Disconnection Rule

For qualifying if you have set a lap but been lagged out you will keep whatever time you have set, you will also be able to compete from whatever position that time gives you after qualifying has been completed.

For the race it's slightly more complicated you must stay in the race for atleast half the session to attain points, if you manage to do this and you lag out or disconnect from the lobby you will receive half the points of whatever position you were in at the time of your disconnection, for example if you were in first (which equals 50pts without leading a lap) and you disconnected or lagged out halfway through or more of the race then you would receive 25pts for that race.


Upgrades

- Upgrades are not allowed to be applied to the setups done by Man Lyk Ramer, however you are allowed to fine tune your preferred vehicle (For example, Tyre Pressure, Suspension Height/Stiffness, Brake Pressure, Differential and all the other things in the TUNE menu you can tweak). That means you can't change the specific rims on the car either, this is because even the slightest change will affect the Lateral G of the car. These cars are very sensitive to this, thus no upgrades can be made as it'd either give the car an advantage or make it un-competitive.    


Team Rules

- All teams are to have no more than two members, all team mates in each team are not required to be in the same car.    

- You must have a race number visible on your car (front, back, & sides) which would make it easier for people to recognise/differentiate between drivers. This also really helps the race leaders navigate lap traffic.    

- Teams are required to have their own unique livery and have to apply the same livery to both cars.    

- Teams are allowed to change the car from what they used at the start of the season, everyone is allowed two car swaps per season and this will be monitored, anyone who swaps more than twice will be given a qualifying ban.


Rolling starts (Will not be run for season 9)

Rolling starts/Formation lap will be implemented the way this works is the member in pole position will lead the pack round at a moderate pace between 50 to 90 MPH depending on the track we are at, use this lap to get into your correct qualifying position, it is also wise to warm, up your tyres on this lap.

when the pole sitter comes to the last couple of corners he will slow the pack down to settle in for the start side by side formation, he and only he can decide when to start which means no overtaking or jumping the start until he has decided to floor the pedal, you will be given a power handicap for the next race event if you are found to jump the start also keep in mind the leader can only slow the pack until the start finish line, but if they decide to do this it will most likely impair their aceleration.
